What would be your dream vehicle?

1957 Chevy BelAir.
If I could afford a dream car, I could afford the gas.

And I love working on old cars. As a plus, no touchscreen

 

A 2019 NIRO PHEV getting 50mpg on gas and at least 26 miles EV range on a full charge with all the available new safety features for under $30,000 with the incentives at the time.

Comfort, safety, economy and fun to drive all rolled into one.

Currently have a full tank of gas and last purchased gas March of 2023. This car and the Prius Prime can be amazing money savers on transportation cost for the right situations.

Nostalgic choice of vehicle- 1970's VW bus - which I would immediately regret as soon as the weather turned very cold in the winter.

 

It's a dream car list, upgrade your options! Both of my buses had the optional gasoline furnaces. Flip the switch and 5 seconds later there's hot air blowing out the vent whether you start the engine or not.

 

What's not to like????
A slightly bulked-up, more Butch MX5 minus the retractable top but adding a place to put your groceries inside the car....or a small human that you don't care for very much.

Best dang hot-hatch made today.
It even comes with a millennial anti-theft device!

If I were not a 1+1 I'd probably opt for the Subie flavored version of this "2+1 and a half" myself.
They're mechanical twins, I just like Subie's sheet metal a little more and Toyota's corporate values a little less.

 

Hard for a confirmed cheapskate like myself to pull the trigger on that VW heater option even in a dream scenario.

 

I got to thinking maybe a plug in HIHY with no moonroof or sun roof. HUD. Enough "self driving" to drive day or night on an interstate. A navigation system that is up to date, where you can report incorrect directions and get them fixed OTA in a reasonable time. Foot operated rear trunk lid. Adaptive headlights. Great ones. (Drove 50 miles back in the rain last night and was amazed at how many car with defective lights ... even a few with nothing but fog lights on. And our NC legislature is considering doing away with safety inspections. After they eliminated emissions inspections at the behest of the customizers.) ) Adaptive wipers. Efficient HVAC. Spare tire. Lighted control buttons. Stalks. 12 screen for maps. Decent radio antenna.

Plug in because 95% of my trips are 2-6 mile trips. HIHY because when I do road trip I want height, comfort and space. HIHY because I want 6 people. HI because I want luggage, 4 golf clubs room.

Plan to buy in 2 years.

You can buy a little chip to update the maps. I just went from 2016 to 2020. It goes into a tiny little slot in the dash. Not sure if the 2013 is the same.
