How do you remove the whole assembly of courtesy/dome lights? I'm talking about the ones right above the rear-view mirror. Out of the 3 lights, only 1 works and I have already tried replacing the bulbs. In the process one of lights got pushed in and now I need to drop down the whole assembly to find the loose bulb.

I already removed two screws from the drop-down sunglass compartment, but it's still not coming off. I noticed two white plastic clips on the corners, but those are not coming off (plus it's VERY difficult even with pliers).

    Help me...

You're my savior for this hour. Thank you!

By the way, that's a pretty clever and cool mod. I thought those were "interior air temperature" readers.

As Cheap shows, you basically just yank the whole thing down once the screws are out (nice work finding the screws at least - that took me more than a few minutes of searching!) It can be a booger the first time pulling that thing off! After it is done once, it comes off a lot easier the next time.

What you really want up there is LEDs, right?

I understand that you sell LEDs, but yours cost a tad too much for me. However, I also know that your LED's are the BEST and by far way brighter than what I got on eBay.

The biggest issue with the 194 FLAT FACED LED's is that they do not emit light sideways; they are only suitable for use pointing straight. Therefore when I tested them on the door step assembly it simply performed worse than the stock bulb.

while I was putting 2 leds there. I noticed that the wires going to the dome module are black, brown, red, white, green. Would anybody know if one of them is ignition +12. ?
(I assume one of them is ground)

(I want to change the mirror with a gentek self dimming without running miles of harness through the roof).

The electrical diagram manual, downloadable from toyota service is not available to Canadians unless they have a US credit card with a US address, so I can not download it
