P0401 code help needed

    Here is a picture of the "new" aftermarket EGR valve that never worked and continued to produce the P0401 code. The mechanism is different as you can see. It has a sealed system. I couldn't see a way of opening it up. Aftermarket EGR valve.jpg

    Same as the aftermarket one I bought off of eBay! It’s so odd because I would hear the engine stall when I did the egr step test but it actually wouldn’t open or close.

    I think @ChapmanF wants to see the inside of the new oem.

    These aftermarket EGR valves are trash! Such a waste of time to have to install and uninstall these just for nothing.

    I don't know about opening a brand new OEM. That's a very expensive proposition! Interested as well to see one though but I can't afford it.

    It's super easy to open and look. Surely someone will be so bold! What's happened to all the folks who'll buy a five-figure car and immediately start modding it?

    Loosening two screws to look in an EGR valve is tame.
