Those really interested in fasteners should purchase The Fastener Black Book of which I have has the First Edition since it first cam out.

It does not, however cover electrical-electronic and telephone industry fasteners but has very comprehensive references of fastener use.

Well, this isn't that situation. It hasn't become common for people to write foot/pounds when they mean foot pounds. I don't believe I've even seen you do it, before today. You have weighed in on plenty of threads with torque in them before, and I don't recall seeing you write it with inverse pounds that way ever before. It appeared to be just something in the way you typed it today, that you would probably remember was backwards, if reminded.

I mean, if you could be around the first person who said "I could care less" when he couldn't, and it wasn't widely corrupted yet and even that person hadn't messed it up before, would that have been the "time to let it go"?

I got the IK16s. Car runs a little smoother for a near 20 year old engine, but those last ones were old and covered in oil so I don't know how much that's from the plugs themselves. I also can't comment on gas mileage because my prius is screwey what with the lift kit, the roof rack, a green bean refurb battery, a removed rear bumper cover and such.

But sort of like adding flames to the car, since they have racing in their name, I imagine I've gotten an increase of around 300 horsepower

I did that on a Protege5 once - misread the torque as ft-lb when it was in-lb. When the bolt made a loud cracking noise it was a good indicator that I had messed up. Tried to move it with my fingers and it seemed tight, so left it alone and amazingly the bolt stayed in place for years until the coil had to come out, at which point it snapped off flush with the valve cover at the first attempt to remove it. Big fun getting the stub out, since the broken surface was exceedingly hard. Probably the 2nd bolt on that coil was doing all the holding and the damaged bolt wasn't doing much of anything.

There are in⋅lbs and ft⋅lbs (maybe you weren't aware) so if someone is giving torque as just lbs, then you need to stop and find another video.
