Is 11.5 volts good?

    i'll keep that in mind. mine was dead in the barn, and i was going to go buy one and diy. when i was looking online for who stocked them locally, tripe a came up, and being amember, i checked it out.
    200 bucks, and they were in and out in 15 minutes and i was back on the road. i never did get a price independently

    This is what happened. My 2005 had intermittent starts and I noticed the battery volts was at 11.5 or 11.6 after 2 year exactly of the Triple A battery. Even the AAA guy tester guy said it would still work. Yes but I dont want to worry about my car not starting or not so I got the Toyota OEM battery for the dealership. I am sure this will correct the problem.

    I want to create a computer program to alert prius drivers that the battery is down from the norm.

    that would be very helpful, i don't understand toyota's thinking, other than they like selling batteries.

    You don't need to reinvent the wheel. There are accessories you can buy that you attach to your battery and will monitor your it. It will alert you when you need to know something. CTEK makes one.

    Odds are that it will NOT.
    After another 2 years of the driving habits that you described, that one likely
    will be damaged too.
