A-V system goes silent. Is there a MUTE button?

    I have an '06 with JBL radio.
    It suddenly stopped working.
    The screen shows stations tuned and the CD player shows tracks playing, but NO SOUND comes
    from the speakers.

    The repair manual says to first check if MUTE is turned on but I can't locate any MUTE button.

    Any suggestions beyond taking it to the dealer?

    As far as I know, there is no mute button. The only way to mute is to hold the mode button in for a few seconds which turns the audio off. Obviously not your problem if you still see the audio features.

    I would suspect a faulty amplifier or problem with the network communications. A dealer visit is in order.
