    Hello Folks,

    Recently I became owner of 2019 Prius plus (or Aplha as it's known in US ).
    Accidentally I discovered that Toyota UK is selling full leather trims in 2 colour sets on the Toyota website.
    I spoke with man in local Toyota service and he told me that price of fitting in garage would be around £1200 ($2000 aprox) but he also mentioned that I could do it by myself, and here is my question, has anyone of you tried to strip off seats from original fabric and put new one? Garage said it would take about 10 hours, which makes some sense regarding to fact they will be doing 7 individual seats.
    Iy anyone of you had experience with such matter, please, be so kind and share your experience.
    God bless you!

    There should be some videos on this not necessarily here but online other Japanese import cars will be very similar someone here just recently redid a generation 3 Prius which is what you're dealing with I believe or very similar in the soft tex material . Which is what's in my 2013 persona I'm imagining all the newer ones should be this soft tex also. Or something better. And it's just basic upholstery work You have to undo the hog rings which are the round metal devices that hold the upholstery to the frame of the sea You can cut the old ones as you'll be using new ones then when you see your upholstery set and you take your other ones off you'll see how the new ones go on it's pretty basic actually but once you remove them off your existing seat then you will see how they go on It is kind of a pain and it would be costly probably to pay one or two people to do it. If you want to try it go to a breaker yard find a bad seat and take it apart right there at the breaker yard but they might not allow you to do that in foreign countries I don't know That's how I learn to take apart my 85 supra seats. They were kind of like recaro copies.

    @Tombukt2 thank you for suggestions,
    After quick research and chat with Toyota garage, I decided to leave £800 with garage and let them to mess with it.
    Whole process of taking off seats, upholstery putting nee one on and seats back into the car with missing of proper work place and tools isn’t worth my time.
    Will update effects when it will be done!
