True... But I'm sure he'll be back to tell us this part of Toyota's master plan. Something along the lines of they wanted to develop a crap IP in order to determine customers wanted a better IP. I should also throw a "know your audience" in there somewhere.

Oh, forgot to add that only 'enthusiasts' want to be able to see how fast they're going or something.

I think I've laid out all the ingredients for a proper word salad!

Like usual, it comes down forcing the belief that there won't be other choices.

True. I saw several and they either thought it was fine or unacceptable. EV Pulse is the example of the latter that comes to mind and it was the most recent, so I let it push out the other more favorable opinions.. So let me soften my statement by recommending one not buy it without having driven it. Because in all other regards except headroom, everyone loved it.

Ironically Toyota owns a boatload of Subaru yet Subaru instrument clusters are favored by tons of people.

    IMG_20230817_073336.jpg

The 2 companies shared a boatload of designs between the bz4x and the Subaru EV version, so you'd think they would have done more copying in the way of instrumentation.

Toyota gets to use Subaru's tradenames, and Subaru will like it.

Hycam has a normal speedo. For some reason, Toyota seems to think customers want odd dash boards on Prius and now bz4x

Who is forcing that belief? There are tons of choices... Kia, Hyundai, Ford, GM, VW to name a few.

You are, portraying the current offering as the only choice Toyota will ever offer.

Someday Toyota will come out with a normal speedo? Well, it’s only been 20 years, so I guess we’re jumping the gun

I always found the gen 2 speedo & dash/cluster layout to be quite adequate. Got to give affirmation where affirmation is due.
Speaking of cluster - that's the perfect word that comes to mind when I think of the gen III flybridge
    ;)

In 20 days, you forget the differences.

    I pity the car renters.

Those vehicles look very nice and practical - what is the interior like and do you feel like you have all the room you need? I've never had the opportunity to sit in one.

Congratulations!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm loving my '22 EUV Premier. Lots of great info over on chevybolt dot org if you haven't already joined.

I'm also looking forward to reading his opinions. I know mine is pretty good. Seats could be a little softer, but not bad. Probably similar to Gen 2 seats for firmness, but better shaped imho. At least the driver's door arm rest is high enough in the EUV to serve as an arm rest without having to add a 4" high pad to it like with my Prime.
