Hey everyone - I’m new here. New Prius owner but not new to Toyota or automotive stuff in general. I bought a 2010 Prius II back in April because my gas guzzling V8 Silverado just wasn’t gonna cut it with my new commute, I sold my 2012 Camry back in the fall because I was only ever driving my truck on a short commute and my wife needed her 2010 Corolla for her job. It’s a basic model Prius minus it having the touch screen/nav system. There’s all kinds of blanking plates on the interior of the dash as you well know. I decided that I would use the spot for factory heated seats and install a USB-A, USB-C 3.0 and voltage meter combination I found on Amazon so I could charge things easier and have it look cleaner than a power point USB charger plug. I decided to tie into the stock 12v power point in the center console just to make wiring easier and leave the USB port a switched power source. I’ll attach a link the unit I used and also some before and after pictures. Super easy install. Less than 10 minutes and really looks clean and fits perfectly in the blank port.

**NOTE** all the blanking plugs on the 3rd Gen Prius are 33.02mm x 22.35mm size so make sure you buy the right one! (I can’t link the product because I haven’t met the minimum forum requirements yet I guess but you can easily find the right one on Amazon. Just pay attention to the size!)

    Looks clean.
I just bought a used 2010, so am thinking something similar. I had a 2007 RX350 where I just replaced the actual cigarette lighter with a round dual USB charger along with a built in volt meter. This was few years ago, but I do recall I had to enlarged the hole slightly for it to fit, but it looks factory once done.

I did something similar in my old Ranger. It had 2 cigarette lighters so I decided to take one and replace it with what you said. Looked great once it was done.
