After a dead 12 v. And cooling pump replacement now my car won't start.. Still has all the warning lights on dash and even the red car with exclamation mark. I thought maybe it might have been bc my head light wasn't plugged in but no such luck. It acts like it's going to but all the lights. I think every warning light is on.. The am2 fuse is good too.

How did you determine you have a bad inverter pump and battery? Did you read the codes that pointed you to those items?

No actually doij on here helped me with that I do have a OBDllreader. That I haven't hooked up yet bc I had taken the negative most on my battery off when all this mess started bc someone told me that it might fix whatever was wrong.. Doij on here said that just cleared out all the codes that would have been on there.. Now that I have replaced the pump that had a big whole in the bottom of it and charged my 12 volt battery now. I tried to start it and all the warning lights and the red car with exclamation still there it won't start. Should I hook up my obdllreader up now? I don't actually know how to do that if you could tell me if sure do it.. Plus I know I have to download Dr proud or something in order to get codes correct?

Did you plug in the new pump? Added coolant?

The car should be able to start without even a pump in place. So there is something missing here. Are your headlights nice and bright? Maybe the 12v battery is low

I replied in your other thread, albeit two hours late, for you to check the plug. Glad to see that was the problem and now you're all sorted.
No problem, we're all glad to help.

My 08 prius is having the same issue. I checked the codes and got:

    C1241
    C1242
    C1311
    C1377
    C1378

The mechanic told me it was the hybrid battery but i checked online and none of those codes are for the hybrid battery, they're all for the 12v and brakes/ABS.

The AM2 fuse was blown as well. Many sites say it is the coolant pump causing the issue, do you think so? I will get a new 12v battery tomorrow to try it but if it does not fix the issue, what else could it be besides the coolant pump?

you should create a new thread with your specific problem. don't piggy back of this one as your symptoms and problems are different

How do i make a new thread? I can't see where to do so and i saw someone on reddit say you need to comment so many times before you can make threads.

The inverter coolant pump is downstream of the AM2 fuse, but it's not the only thing downstream of the AM2 fuse. If the fuse is blowing, the pump is frequently the problem, but frequently ≠ always.

select the forum your car is associated with (prius 2nd gen?) Then from there, start a thread under the specific category it falls under. You don't need a minimum amount of comments
