Not in any given order mind you though questions.
    1. Live in Florida yet keep reading how awd is a good option to add vs 2wd. If buying a prime or non-prime how much of a benefit is it (more engaging to drive (granted it is still a prius though better then prior gens)? Any downsides, worth the coin to add it?
    2. I realize I would need to shop in SE region and probably north GA or NC area to get a awd model. Thinking most dealers don't want to sell to out of State buyers (presently?). Though willing to drive out of State, plus need to get up to southwest NC near end of October anyway for an event.

Could drive my 23 maverick hybrid to do a possible trade-in for a new Prius.
Though might miss the Mav hybrid :( XLT. Cloth manual seats, fwd, crappy base 360 co-pilot, basic cruise control, drop-in tow hitch. Enjoying the ride actually.

    3. I know it is not called 'white' interior though am wondering if others got it and are happy with it. With the softex it will clean up though uncertain how well with the white/gray (not black) interior color. Will need to see what colors offer it.
    4. I have manual seats in the Mav, cloth and it seems to work. Still, after back operation it might not hurt to have power seats and thinking (let me know if you feel otherwise) that power seats in a Prius might be a good idea. If nothing else then to adjust to see front info display hidden by the steering wheel a bit. I have 5'9" with 30" inseam if that matters and about 210lbs.
    5. So, if buying a Prime SC (no awd offered) it seems this is a good trim to consider. 17" wheels, softex (though uncertain if that is just on the outside trim or the entire seat surface. If cloth center then uncertain how well that would work. Don't think power seat comes on SC...will go check.

I can live with without a Prime though it just seems so cool to have a Prime vs non-prime as I so enjoy battery only travel be it only for say 40 to 50 miles :)
My 2020 highlander hybrid only drives on battery for short distances though do like it and the 36mpg it gives me overall when driving.

Even got a bmw CE04 electric 'bike'...rolling the dice and hoping the 3 year warranty made it a better buy the electric motorcycles from China...time will tell.

Thanks for any input. Enjoy them if you got them. ;)

Failed to go see a used 2023 XLE else Limited in time and it was gone in a NY minute. Though thinking it had the dual sunroof (they do not open) so uncertain I would find that a good thing to have as an opiton on such a low height ride.

It had like 60 miles on it. Uncertain what one loses via warranty buying used vs new.

Unless mistaken, due to income limits I would not qualify for any federal tax incentives now nor in the new year on a used Prime model (well year 2022 and prior else wait until 1/24 then maybe 2023 used Prime would be able to get the incentive).

Just editorial: do you mean “buying a Prime in South Carolina”? Or?

For grins and giggles I stop by my local Toyota dealer. They just off loaded a red XLE with the gray color interior in Softfex with a silver dash trim acent treatment. It was pre-sold. Got to seat in it. Liking the power seat. Looks very sweet in red with gray interior. They added that $699 fee for oil and tire rotation. Small 8" screen and no paint protection film though. No sunroof which I was glad to see.

Think you mean SE trim. Though depending on what you are looking at, it could be a factory/dealer code. Noticed that when trying out Costco's auto buying program, and wondering why there were different trim deignations.

Depending on how you drive, the AWD might be a fun performance enhancement. Otherwise, the costs of AWD in your region aren't worth the limited benefits.

Hum, I see I had a typo on my onenote page. Yes, I see it is a SE trim of the Prime that was of interest to me. Guy at dealer said all prius are pre-orders. Another dealer said Prime are maybe a 9 month wait from order date. Darn, should have put looking at the used 23 model at top of my list the other day but did not think it through. Guessing that silver might be a good safe color dirt wise too though not exciting it would seem.

Oh well, no rush. I got my Maverick hybrid as a 2nd ride and have used the bed some.

I was told 6-12 month wait when I inquired about ordering my Prime. And it was also out of state. I went on the wait list and within 4 weeks had a car in my driveway.

I mean maybe it’s going to truly be a 9 month wait but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

Good to know. Though too, in my case, sort of feel like it is a roll of the dice since one cannot do a test drive before ordering. And if ordered then 'you have brought it' according to the guy moving cars at the dealership. If that is true then a bit too much of a reach for me to buy and not drive one before hand.

    Enjoy your new Prime :)

I imagine though if you threw enough of a fit they would give you the money back. I spent about 500 dollars to be on the waitlist and it was fully refundable. I also test drove the car when it arrived. (Of course I wanted it instantly).

I called around and spoke to different dealers to see who had the most favorable way of doing business.

    good thought, ty
Possible another one will show up used near term. Not likely but maybe :)
Besides, figuring I can still use the Mav truck bed for some things near term lol.
