The battery is fuller than the system likes. So, one thing it will do is use the MG to spin the engine with the fuel off to lower the battery charge.

I don't experience it much around where I usually drive as there are no hills long enough for me to get the battery full enough.

The radiator cooling fans sound quite a bit like a motor running, and they can run if you are stopped and the AC is on. So it can sound like the ICE is active when it isn't.

Yes, that's a good point. I see your speed is 41 (km/h??) and not showing energy going from the engine but I see that MPG is 84.2 MPG so that would suggest the engine is fuel on not fuel off. Not sure why it is doing this, but I seem to remember there are some things with that display where it doesn't seem to align with what you perceive to be going on. It doesn't happen often in my experience, but only when the battery is very full.

Is your Prius a US import? Your MFD shows MPG, not L/100 km.

I'm not sure you can easily. I've heard people say to buy a European MFD from a wrecker and swap it. You'd need a low-res 7-button MFD.

There was this old thread that popped up recently Found! Switch mpg to l/100km?? but I tried it on my car but couldn't get to the second screen which would allow you to reset the destination region. It's a Spanish website, but Google Translate works well enough (at least into English) to get the idea. It would be interesting to know if it worked for you.

I probably wont buy another MFD for sure. Its too expencive here in croatia.

I did try that and i can get to the point where i can select main destination but i cant select SET to confirm. I try to hold it down for a minute. Later with brake applied and nothing.
