    There is a little groove in the door panel. I just cleaned with alcohol, warmed the pieces on the defroster, then stuck them to to the door. These were the only pieces I wa worried about not adhering because of the texture on the door. So far no problem. If they ever start to lift I will use the 3M promoter that was included in the kit.

    thanks for the info...when I asked the question I couldn't remember if those door panels were plastic or cloth.....When I got in mine this morning i realized they were that textured plastic...so the trim should stick to that...

    I'm planning on that mod after xmas.....wife gave it an overwhelming approval.....yours look great...

    Very Cool. ... a luxury Prius. Now you can hyperglide in style. B)

    This may be a weird question, but - how does it sound? One of the things that's always bothered me about every car I've ever owned (haven't owned a Mercedes) is the buzz that comes from plastic panels vibrating. Notice any difference?

    Haven't really noticed any difference, sound wise. If anything I think it would help if there were any vibration since the weight of the pieces would prevent vibrations. I have noticed that the compartments that open (cd drawer, sunglasses door, glove compartment) open slower due to the increased weight. This isn't a bad thing since when they are closed they seem to hold a bit tighter.

    Buy online at BDTRIMS. They make the complete kit for all years of Prius. They have a large selection of wood styles as well as carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, chrome, etc.

    IMHO, your treatment looks great. Your center stack applique reminds me of the wood trim on the older Lexus ES300's. My dealer installed it in several on the lot vehicles. (They are having fun with the high demand for this product.)

    They only partially added it to my center stack and doors. They didn't completely cover it like you did with yours.

    Your strips on the door remind me of the strips in a 5-series BMW. It's not as luxurious as that of an Audi, Bentley, Cadillac, Jaguar or Mercedes but still very nice.

    Sorry to add my photos to your thread, but I was too lazy to add my own. If I had a little more cash to burn I would rip out some of the cheap silver plastic around the doors and dash and replace it with aluminum and/or light wood trim (like Lincolns and Jaguars). I would definitely replace the plastic around the transmission shifter tunnel with aluminum or chrome. Of course, all the above is just MHO.

    I think it makes the car look like one of those really expencive luxury cars.. Very niiiice.. :)

    Does the kit just stick on? where did you buy the kit & how much was it?

    You know, it just makes the Prius int look like a high end luxury car with the burlwood finnish...

    I will put that in my new one next year, no point putting it in the 04 Im going to trade it in in o8
    Then I will have to decide Prius or Camry.... :huh:

    I have the same trim package except it includes the drawer below the cassette deck, which I like because it shows a lot less dust than the black and finishes it off. And no "engage P" sticker

    I don't think it is a luxury car "wannabe" but it does add more warmth and interest and show less dust, which I appreciate
