Just wondering if anyone else has had suspension issues with their 2023 Prius? I purchased a 2023 LE AWD in the middle of May and in August it began making noises when turning and when I would start/stop or go over any bump. So I took it to the dealer and after about a month of working on it they gave it back and it is still having the same issue... so I had to take it back.

I am just a bit bummed as I had my last Prius for 7 years without any issues and now I have ran into this issue with just 3,000 miles on the car :(

No issues with mine so far. What kind of noises? Post a video recording so we hear it.

First, I suggest that you take it to a different dealer.

Second, I suggest that you research a "lemon law" in your state.

Usually they have only 3 chances to fix something before they owe you a new vehicle.
But whether or not a "noise" qualifies for lemon treatment might be tricky.

The car has been with the dealer since August so I can't at the moment. I did drive it for a short period of time yesterday once they told me it was ready but I forgot to take a video before taking it back. The noise is just a clunking noise.

Yeah I was looking into the lemon law the other day.... So far they replaced a strut and a strut mount. I had someone from the dealership sit with me while I drove last night and they said they could hear the noise but also felt the noise under them on the passenger side when I would turn or go over bumps.....

Yes I posted to the forum a few days ago with the same issue. Clunking noise that happens periodically, from the front right in my case. Happens consistently on a few turns. Prime Premium, started around 800 miles. I haven't taken it in yet for the reasons above -- seems like it would be hard to fix or address. Seems to happen on turns where the ground is uneven. Suspected the stabilizer linkage or bar. Sometimes a single clunk. Sometimes a fast series of 2 or 3 clunks. Same sound you might get with a bad CV joint, but not the same symptoms or as consistent. I haven't decided yet whether I'll bring it in, or wait and see if it gets worse. Interesting that others have seen the same issue.

Sorry, I just saw your original post. My clunking noise is also on the front right side of my car/under the passenger seat area. It started out rather infrequent but then became more frequent over the span of a week while I was still driving it waiting for the dealership to get a part in.

Do you happen to know when they were built? Curious if they were built around the same time.

Toyota VIN site says my car order date was 7/23 and delivery was 8/23. OP said they purchased in May, so doesn't look like they were built anywhere near the same time.

I have 1100 miles so far and thankfully, no issues yet. Built 06/2023.

Correct, mine was built in February and ironically was one of the ones in the quality hold status at the port for a couple of months.

Mine sometimes had a clunking when accelerating/stopping but wasn't as consistent.

I've noticed this sound too - seems to only happen to me if I brake on a rough surface like train tracks or small potholes. It's like something is making a lot of noise trying to control the instability and it's either 2 or 3 "clicks" or "clanks"

The noise for me has gone away now, about 500 mi after it started. Possible it's because the weather turned cold, or might be coincidence. Anyhow I'm not going to take it in to the dealer, unless it gets worse at some point, and seems more of an annoyance. Someday they might have a TSB on it, don't want them pulling the car apart trying to figure it out.

THAT description sounds like a momentary activation of the ABS.
Or of the traction control.......depending on whether you were braking or under power.

When traction control kicks on though, there's a light that comes on the dash to indicate that its happening also. The car on curvy road in amber is the symbol.

Did it make the same noise from Day One? If that were the case, you should have simply returned the car and got your money back.

It it started making the noise later, it could be because you had an accident, such as hitting a curb, speed bump or some other bump, or pothole.

On my 2014 Volt I had something that sounded like that. Going for the easy I retightened the front axle nuts. One was ok, the offender was much less, a lot of a turn more, to reach the 185 ft/lbs. Problem fixed. It was quite disturbing. The sounds described sound exactly like what I had.

Yes, it is something loose or broken. Apparently I had broken a toe-in-adjusting-cam nut on my 1985 Corolla by hitting the right rear tire on the curb once, and it made a clunking noise until it got replaced.

Some months ago, I saw some guy drive a new fancy BMW fast over a curb in a parking lot and pieces of suspension fall off. He didn't even bother and just drove away.
