To be clear this is not a strut tower brace as it's advertised, it's not a chassis brace either it's technically a frame brace that goes over the engine. It does not connect to the strut towers, and the Prius already has a factory strut tower brace, that long black flat piece that runs the firewall and is connected to the towers, same as the Camry. This bar connects to the fame next to the coolant reservoir on the passenger side and the fuse box on the driver side.

Install was actually a huge pain for just four bolts. I had to detach the bar from one side of the mount to get it in. It was very difficult getting the bolts in because there is so little space. I dropped the bolts onto the under tray a few times. If you can find a little person or train an animal to screw a bolt in it you be easier . It helps to remove the 10mm going to the coolant reservoir and take off the fuse cover top. Be careful tightening the one closest to the fuse box it's at a weird angle and you can round the bolt easily.

So did it help? Yes it helps a lot for the little bit I drove it around the corner. Already have upgraded the springs and shocks and have the Cusco rear end braces. The car still seems to have a looser chassis compared to the Camry. There is slop and the car doesn't immediately change direction when you turn the wheel. This def helps tie the rest of the suspension together and helped the steering sharpen up a nice amount. There is still some slop in it but it's much better.

Can you get the plastic engine cover out from under it? It would have to come off for a battery swap?

Don't think you can get the engine cover off and not sure about the battery. Even if you can't it's no big deal once every three to five years it's just one extra 14mm bolt to loosen if you have to move it to remove the battery.

I do have a red bullet installed so . I'm plan on adding the Hybridstop big bore throttle body and probably groupm intake soon too. Maybe I'll do it then. Right now had the car about 29 days and I've had it torn apart modding it for about 10 of those days, and another 9 days I took it on vacation. Luckily I work from home but right now liking the car back together fully and my hands and arms need to heal up a little before I continue the mods. Going to see how it feels with a a Cusco rear sway bar for next suspension mod.
