We have a generation 3 red solar roof car that was bought with Amazon flex Uber eats and all that nonsense in mind We got the car with 147k I believe 5 years ago other than the used hybrid battery that I put in the car 2 days after I bought it nothing has been done to the car other than brake pad changes literally nothing else. We're now sitting at 367,000 or so miles heading to 400 probably pretty uneventful. The car has rattled one time. It looks like that happened because it badly needed spark plugs. Change those and not a Pete from the engine since. No EGR cleaning no manifold cleaning nothing a quick inspection of the EGR cooler doesn't look horrible but ugly. This is not normal for this engine and chassis so at 400k I think I'll just retire the business the armrests are blowing out of the door panels and all this kind of stuff it's not pretty and probably not worth fixing with this kind of mileage but it's actually done a lot better than I would have ever given it credit for that is a fact.

All highway mileage , that’s why. Can’t do that with a heavy foot short trip car.

This car being talked about here my red solar roof car almost no highway miles The trip mileage is generally in the 20 to 36 mi range like 15 out 15 back 14 out 14 back that kind of thing a few trips here and there but that's just 2 hours away to like Fayetteville or Lumberton from the Durham area nothing very serious If it was all highway miles we'd be around 450,000 are coming close to it by now

I'm talking 2-3 mile trips...the car is getting warmed up in about 6. Those are more than grocery store or sunday "go to meetin'" trips.

I've always said this particular car being used for the delivery Uber eats Amazon flex all that nonsense that she does is what keeps this car in shape or fit if you will It never sees rest for longer than 6 hours or something along those lines and then it's up and at them again. I think that has a lot to do with it I mean the car runs beautiful Nice driving car just that a lot of them interior is kind of falling apart around it I've tried to find replacement pieces and they're all just as bad as what I have gluing and fixing the door panels looks like it will not go well trying to see if I can find a European base that has one piece complete plastic door panels no separate arm rest no sonic plastic welding piece glued to another piece and so on and so forth I don't know if that even exists We will see.

You are high mileage now. Did you change the transmission fluid? I would like to know if I should follow the service manual and never change my tranny fluid.

I changed the transmission fluid about every 60k just to keep it red and looking reasonable Is there any reason not to I don't know but around 60,000 mi seems like it's been in long enough and the car does see some off-road light usage running down fence lines on properties and things so it just makes good sense in and out of the high grass and things like that just to get the moisture and stuff out although the transmissions seem to be very low failure or issues.

There are cars burning tremendous amounts of oil and engines failing because their service manuals told them to change the oil every 10k miles. So, change that CVT fluid..80-100k miles at bare minimum.
