McFly. Great Idea and business. I have a friend with a dead Gen 2 in Colorado and I passed on your name to him.
    TIA.

Idone everything from boing landing struts & accompanying hydraulics, to VW & flat head rebuilds to various hybrid repairs ... and after retiring, the better ½ has occasianally been trying to urge me back into the work market. Especially when i give her any lip.
    ;)
I thought retiring way out here in a teeny community would work as a great reason for not going back to work. So few places that would be compatible. Then ... one of our local machine shop owners (also owns the local breakfast diner) hit me up to do stuff in his machine shop. Work for pay ? Bless any of ya that still have such ambitions after 5 decades of hitting the bricks.
    he's just making observations ....

@HelloMcFly you've positioned yourself very well with these services!
I'm going to save this post for the future.
I've done the 4Gen engine > 3rd Gen Prius, but it took me a few weeks (first ever engine swap)...after what my buddy who is a former Toyota Master Tech check over my work, he believes I just bought a bad engine from a junkyard ebay seller in CA.

I think that if I were to do this again, I would buy a CT200 w a busted engine and put a Gen4 engine in....and I'd definitely reach out to you if I want it done in a Day ;)

I’m still here, although I’ve slowed down doing traveling gigs. If there was a minor issue, I would have to drive back to figure out the problem. I had to make several long trips after a few customer concerns, only to find out it was due to clogged radiators due to headgasket sealer, faulty fuel pumps, or rodent damage.

i’m plenty busy here locally, but I will still do traveling gigs depending on the customers know how. I will have to assume a customer knows how to change their own oil, or clean a sensor etc.

I hope this does not come off as cocky, as that certainly is not my intent. I just find it is so much easier working from my garage. Still contact me if you have any questions or need a swap. I’ll be happy to help.

Yeah second owners with "suddenly" blown head gaskets, there's a good chance seller dumped in gasket sealer. That crap should be illegal, my 2 cents.

They dumped gasket sealer in my prius. I was wondering what fool poured glitter in the coolant tank, then one day i had to buy headgasket sealant as a last resort try before taking the headgasket off. It all started to make sense.

I also have a Gen 4 and Nexcell combo circa when you started the thread, I didn't realize so few had been done.
