Anybody have an iPhone 15 Pro Max? Can you confirm it works in the wireless charger?

    Thanks!

If the new 15 Pro Max has wireless charging like my 13 Pro Max, which charges perfectly without my case on it, I would assume yes it should.

My experience with charging an iPhone 15 Pro with the built-in QI charger is disappointing. My iPhone is in a clear case, and even with the actual in-car temperature in the mid-70s, the phone heats up enough that charging stops quite soon due to excessive heating. I believe that the lack of ventilation of the slot combined with the inefficiency of this charging method leads to the problem. Even if the Pro Max can start charging with the built-in charger, it will also run into this issue.

I have had more success placing the phone in the slot and then charging via a USB-C cable connected to a port in the console box. A slot allows the cable to exit the console box without being crimped. The only issue here is that housing on the cable, combined with the length of the phone, is a tight fit in the slot. So, given the larger size of the Pro Max, I think you could make this work with the rear of the phone sticking out of the slot.

I have an iPhone pro max with the Apple Fine Woven Case with MagSafe. It doesn't work. It seemed to me that it was the camera sticking out, but I was able to get it to work with the case off. I guess I'll plug in to charge, because it's too cumbersome to keep removing the case.

It works, but I rather just charge with the wire. The phone fits in but gets too hot for my liking.
