Also, Tesla Model X or Model Y "SUV" is actually a Model 3 with a larger shell, just like Prius v. I often mistook a Model Y for a Model 3, and I didn't know that they were different cars until a while ago. Prius v looks more different than Prius than Model Y in comparison with Model 3.

 

I thought it stood for Compact.

"c" and "v" officially stand for city and versatile, respectively, and chances are that in reality they stand for compact and minivan, respectively. They are named differently in other countries, Prius c being Prius Aqua in Japan—the most popular Prius over there.

Wikipedia indeed classifies Prius v as a minivan.

 

Interesting. I do see a lot of Vs around here and they do look like a smallish minivan.

 

Yes, according to Wikipedia, it is a midsize (compact) minivan, situated between a mini minivan and a large minivan.

 

When they mail license plates sometimes they stick together quite well. I think some people think they only got one plate in two plate states. I was trying to explain this to someone I know with no front plate. Nope she said the dealer told me they only give one plate on her car. I do believe that part of it, dealer making up stuff.

 

You really have to try and make that connection? I guess it's a free country, for now.
