So, I have ordered Prius Prime with the deposit down in August. I did notice some dealers that are getting Prime versions and they are listed now over $40K with base model with TSRP sign in front. So, they abandoned suggested MSRP to create their own TSRP which include the add-ons and additional fees they come up with?

If my Prime arrives and they put this TSRP I am going to walk out. Will rather go with somebody else, maybe Mazda as they are selling below MSRP.

Those Toyota dealers are ripping of people. So they let you order the car at MSRP and charge you that TSRP which is their inflated price. Effing BS.

Ok we have MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price).

Looked up TSRP (Total Suggested Retail Price), and it means all-in price, ideally MSRP plus Shipping/Pre-Delivery Inspection/Documentation/Whatever?

    I'm kinda ok with that.

you haven't agreed on a price yet?

i notice a lot of dealers online have remove the M from msrp. that's where my search ends.

i think they've appeased the manufacturers by admitting it is not the manufacturers srp.

Our last purchase, we shook hands over a piece of paper, with letterhead "Toyota Canada", indicating "documentation" was "included". Then got handed over to another salesman, who reprinted the deal on paper on the dealership's letterhead, and the bottom line had jumped. Upwards of course. Went through it line-by-line, and found documentation had become $295.

They were actually "upset" that I took exception to that. That's Open Road Port Moody btw, I always like to give them a plug. A butt plug... :cautious:

They also tried to mask a dead-as-a-doornail 12 volt. And the temp spare (remember those?) had about 40 psi. PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) just another cash grab?

How can you order a Prime and call it "my Prime" if not even sure what you have to pay? On the other hand why would the dealer care much anyway if people can just walk away from the orders. Seems all a little bit uncommited on both sides....

I went to the dealership, agreed on the price with the salesman on the Prime SE plus only option was floor mats. I think it was around $32K. While waiting, I also browse for the same model without options trough other dealers and see often $40K + with the TSRP included. I am just saying that I could get the same when I receive the car. I did gave them $1K deposit in August.
