I took about 100 pics of my Prius near Turnagain Arm, AK and the surrounding area over the summer. I'd love to submit them to next year's calendar. When are submissions going to start being accepted?

beautiful... but, i know the background is important, but you should take the pix with the sun at your back as much as possible. that keeps the car out of the shadow.

The Priuschat calendar really only needs one day.

    Every day is Priuschat day!

We'll start taking them pretty soon. I was thinking this year instead of doing a printed calendar like we have traditionally done, doing a downloadable desktop wallpaper-based calendar (since when you come to PC, you're on your computer, so it kind of fits).

    What are your thoughts?

I often take the pictures some people have posted and use them as desktop wallpaper anyway.

Oops, since I don't ask their permission, I'm probably violating copyright laws, so forget I said anything.

Anyway, I think that a desktop version with each month's calendar tactfully in the corner would be very nice.

I like the idea of a desktop calendar (maybe with an attached screen saver?)

And Tony - I think it falls under fair use - people post the images in a public venue like the boards here, and you are then using it for personal use, not attempting to pass it off as your own or make a profit on it (i hope!)

I'm not completely against the desktop wallpaper version, but I do most of my browsing while at work (Shh! Don't tell... ). Since I'm in a corporate environment I can't change my desktop wallpaper. Perhaps offering both the downloadable version as well as the printed version (at a slightly higher price to offset printing costs) would be an option. Just my 2¢.

a downloadable version would be, by default, printable... just open the images up and hit print!

True, and I had thought of that. That's why I'm not completely against the downloadable version.

A downloadable calendar would be great. Too bad we don't have it in time for Christmas.
