Is 65637-47021 the correct part for the passenger side, rear wheel well liner for a 2011 Gen 3 Prius hatchback? In the parts photo below, it is #13 in the illustration, but it is labeled as a Quarter Panel Splash Shield. Also, what other fasteners, part numbers and quantities, will I need to attach the liner? Thanks.

For anyone curious why I need to replace the wheel well liner, read on...

Our 2011 Prius hatchback ran over an object at freeway speed. It ripped off the entire side of the engine splash shield where the oil change access door panel was, dislodged a custom crossbrace, took out the rear shield of the catalytic converter shield that was behind the crossbrace, and then blew out the rear passenger tire.

Since this occurred in morning rush hour traffic, the car was driven some distance before being able to safely get to the shoulder in a semi safe location. By that time, the tire sidewalls were completely worn through and the tire was flopping around the rim, which destroyed the wheel well liner.

Pictures show the original custom mid body crossbrace and rear catalytic converter shield. The destroyed custom mid body crossbrace alongside the OEM part it replaced. The OEM part was temporarily reinstalled while waiting for another custom mid body crossbrace. And finally, the rim and tire.

Reaccessed the damage today, looks like I don't need the wheel well liner, just a small splash guard in the front and rear of the wheel well.

Still not sure what the front piece is called. I think I have the rear piece identified.

Here's some pics of the driver's side of the rear wheel well.

First three pics are of the driver's side (undamaged), last two is the damaged rear piece of the back of the wheel well, and the missing front piece.

I need the corresponding pieces on the passenger side rear wheel well. 20231208_175742.jpg 20231208_175825.jpg 20231208_175832.jpg 20231208_173323.jpg 20231208_173344.jpg

    Thanks kc410.

Local Toyota monopoly parts here in Hawaii (Servco) seems to have marked up the price some 100% on that little piece of plastic.

I'll see if buying online plus shipping will be more reasonable. Screenshot_20231209_105039_Chrome.jpg

    Thanks for the suggestion Mendel!

I placed an order with Amayama, the total with UPS shipping (estimate) came out $100 less than what Servco Toyota would have fleeced me for just the engine undercover/splash shield.

Is it common to get a message saying that the order needs to be checked/reviewed by staff? It might be something simple like confirming enough inventory for some of the clips/fasteners in the order.

Since xliderider got such a great deal from Amayama, I thought I would check their prices on brake master cyl & pump assy. for the 2010 (which I recently purchased for ~$700 ea. from stateside dealer that included tax & shipping).

BRAKE BOOSTER ASSY, W/MASTER CYLINDER - Genuine Toyota (4705047140)
Price, USD - 1,490.57 - No est. shipping cost.

PUMP ASSY, BRAKE BOOSTER - Genuine Toyota (4707047060)
    Price, USD - $628.95 + 43.31 Shipping to USA

The booster pump price is about the same as stateside prices.
Master Cyl is >2x the going price stateside.

I will definitely keep them in mind when checking prices in the future (thx Mendel!)

Yeah not always cheaper, but worth checking. They ship from Japan or UAE, and in cases where both options are available, it’s often advantageous to choose slightly higher cost choice, to keep shipment from one or the other country, avoid two shipping charges.

great for me in Canada; US online retailers usually don’t ship to Canada. Or are pricey, all in.

Here's a better comparison of the two, Amayama vs our local Toyata monopoly here in Hawaii.

Had to remove the Amayama screen shot the other day because I inadvertently posted my home address in a public forum.

I've already got my order in to amayama.com.

Wiper tray top cover - the first part you remove when accessing the wiper tray.
The top rubber piece (that touches the bottom of windshield) is dried & breaking from exposure here in S Fla.
Rubber piece is heat welded to the plastic tray cover.

    ourismantoyotaofrichmond.com/oem-parts/toyota-cowl-top-panel-5570847110
has it for $343.74 - plus the two end pieces for $11.92 each.
Total would be 367.58 plus shipping

From amayama.com my whole order inc. UPS shipping is $141.06
& this also includes a "map light" cover ($5) that I needed.

I just placed the order so I'll have to see how this all turns out.
From what I read, I should get a verified bill within a couple days or less...
& I may have an extra box to put under the Christmas Tree ;)

Yikes, I just got an updated estimate of the order with a large increase in the original estimated shipping cost.

    $496.31 for DHL shipping.

I'm trying to get another shipping estimate without the large engine undercover/splash shield.

Hoping it will be much more reasonable. Screenshot_20231210_190011_Chrome.jpg

Bummer! Still have an axle they shipped me back in the day before tarrifs were enforced.

(I’m assuming that’s part of the DHL fee)?

No one likes surprises like that!
Perhaps there is another shipping option besides DHL?

Shipping to HI may be more challenging than the other 48?

I remember being offered a few shipping options at checkout but don't remember what they were.

I just started to order your splash shield to see what my shipping options would be from Japan to FL.
UPS is $56.64 & the lowest.
Shipping to FL offered UPS ($56.64), FedEx Economy ($94.22) & Priority ($105.27)

Also noticed there is an option to purchase the shield from UAE & that did use DHL Express as one of the shippers.
UAE price for shield was only $88.56 & it offers FedEx or DHL Express. Shipping prices were not given.

Uploading pix appears to be broken for me at the moment.

I would take that UPS shipping quote with a huge grain of salt, my original quote via UPS, pending review, was under $60.

Then the DHL quote was supposedly the best price of all the carriers.

Total order, including shipping, by canceling the largest item (engine undercover) changed my order from Amayama (Japan) from nearly $700 to $85.45 ($32.65 shipping via EMS).

I'm going to try to repair the original engine undercover. I had previously installed removable flag hinges on the oil change access door, which got totally ripped away from the main body of the undercover from the impact with the debris. Luckily, I was able to save the access door which ended up wedged into the rear wheel well.

Reinforcing the torn areas on the undercover, some plastic welding and replacing the hinges should get things back to almost where it was pre-impact.

Sandwich the split with strips of rubber, say about an inch wide, and pop-rivet them, making a flexible hinge?

FWIW I never use that flap, say at oil changes, just take the whole thing off. Apart from the very first oil change, following suggestion in a YouTube. But as soon as I started bending it at the hinge point, I didn't like the way it behaved: the whole dang panel was protesting, and the plastic seemed brittle, poor material for a plastic hinge.
