    Hello Everyone,

I bought a used 2010 prius 3 in 2021 back but I recently had to replace a headlight and noticed that the connector was damaged and a new bulb would not get any power. Any advice on how to replace the connector myself?

    Thanks

Go to the junkyard You will find many connectors like that on other Toyota cars that have similar bulbs headlights H 11 H8 whatever it is it's in your car. Or see a generation 3 Prius and cut a few of them you want and then bring it back to your car and squeeze it together with Scotch lock connectors or what have you If you wanted to go really crazy you can look up online and see how to remove the pins out of your damaged plug usually you use a little tool push the thing in pull on the back and the metal connector itself will come out of the plastic then you can go to the junkyard cut off one bring it back take those connectors out push yours in making sure the right color goes in the right side as you take them out doing one at a time.

Cut off the cables close to the connector /
Buy a pair of new connectors for like $6 from amazon /
I did the same thing with my wife's Subaru a couple weeks ago; easy /

OEM ones are your best bet. I've replaced my GMC headlamp socket 3-times over a year. Each time it was burnt; like yours. Finally found a set of ceramic sockets on Ebay; it's been 3 years now, no more issues.

    Hope this helps....
