A truck dropped a chunk of ice on the highway and it ended up cracking my lower grill. The damage isn’t bad, and with the car being low I know it’s inevitable, but I’m wondering what people who’ve owned previous generations think about fixing low damage like that. Lost cause? Fix before selling? I can get the part for between $90-$120, and it doesn’t require paint, but I could definitely see it happening again.

Just hurts with the car being less than 6 months old, but doesn’t affect drive ability of all and isn’t really visible unless you’re looking for it.

Hurts, but imo something similar would happen again. It is the bumper in all. Personally I'd just live with it. But that's just me.

if it were me, and i thought it might happen again, i'd probably wait and fix before selling,
but it's a shame that has to happen to a new car.

Thanks all, after waiting a few days I think that’s the right answer too. It definitely was unfortunate but I think it was inevitable with time, still loving the car and excited for many miles with it.

For 100 bucks, I'd just fix it. If it happens again, fix it again!

@Rockytj: A picture would help (you can post pics again!). Maybe could be buttered up with two-part epoxy and pushed back together, sanded and a bit of spray paint. Down low it doesn't need to be perfect.

Addendum: looks like OP is gone, ah well.
