2005 Prius Mystery Misfire

Well..(knock on wood)-The mystery has been solved. I rechecked the old injector and it did in fact only have 1ohm of resistance. After plugging in other ecm-the major misfire went away immediately. While monitoring on scan tool, I can still see the odd misfire count pop up, but no codes as of now.

I then proceeded with the annoying job of replacing the ecm.
Took it for a short drive today and seems to have lots of power with no hesitation. I’m still planning on replacing the injector seal that got squished a bit.

In all, I find it interesting why they would not have anything built in the ECM to prevent overcurrent. For now I’m just keeping my fingers tightly crossed that is the last major issue I hit with this car.
