I'm trying to figure out what the little white box that's circled in red in the image. My key fob stopped working after a bunch of water leaked in frying my hybrid battery and now there's a door control receiver error code, but I pulled out the DCR and it looks fine. It's likely that this white box circled in red got wet and I'm wondering if it could be the culprit. Thanks!

It is what Toyota calls a door control receiver.

You might want to check the condition of the pin in the unit and also the connector for damage/corrsion. Also check out that the wiring wasn't damaged in some way before automatically going to replacing the receiver part.

Having said that the Part numbers are:
    • 89741-47110 – OEM Toyota Keyless Entry Receiver (SKS) For 2004-2009 Toyota Prius Discontinued Product No Longer Available For Purchase
    • 89741-47080 – OEM Toyota Keyless Entry Receiver (Non-SKS) For 2004-2009 Toyota Prius MSRP: $1,073.12 Discounted Sale Price: $718.99 (33% off)
Given the price and availability of these parts, you might have better success buying from a dismantler yard. These tend to be a reliable part so I would expect if you can find one to pull from a pick-n-pull, you should be good to go. I wouldn't expect these to be a highly sought-after part so they should be fairly cheap.

I have a bunch of those here I've never seen one go bad yet even in very moist trunk conditions or that area of the car being very damp water droplets on the sheet metal interior inside. But that doesn't mean anything much you'll see them in every car you go to at LKQ meaning people aren't running out to grab them apparently just thought I'd throw that out there.
