How long have you had it installed? Any problems with black exhaust smudge building up near the tip, or heat melting the plastic parts in the vicinty?

Also, someone here mentioned that exhaust mods might play havoc with some functions of the MFD...don't know why, though...have you encountered? Personally, I don't see why this would be so but am curious nonetheless.

I've been considering adding this piece, but find myself reticent to mess with anything on my current Prius having to do with the engine.

 

Is Toms exhaust just an exhaust tip like in the picture, or is there more?

It's also a muffler and bolts up to that little joint in the exhaust pipe near the rear suspension area.

 

How funny. The factory Prius exhaust appears to be designed to be unobtrusive, I suppose to accentuate the idea of reduced emissions.

You need to put one on the other side with an electric plug sticking out.

Ah ha!!...and I agree.

I've often wondered if, some day, NOT having a big exhaust pipe (or two, or even four) sticking out the back of the car will be the cool thing...and everyone whose car DOES have an exhaust pipe will do their best to conceal it...

 

Toms Exhaust, how much does it cost and where is it available to purchase?

I have no interest in a low hanging chrome exhaust system that makes me the laughing stock of my neighbors, if I did I would have bought a Civic Si to rice, not a Prius.

But that is just my bias:
