The LIPOG WEBSITE has been updated with photos from our December meet and the new item that will be distributed at our January meet.

Coming soon will be a page devoted to Horacio's amazing PHEV mod.

Details of the next meet will be posted in the coming weeks (if it's frigid out, we might just have an indoor meet).

Again, thanks to all the attendees - a fine time was had by all.

BTW, we are working on getting the t-shirts for those attendees that did not get them.

Thanks, Emile! I checked out the website....wish I could participate in the rally....probably not, but do hope it gets off the ground!

Had a great time, Sunday....Horacio and PHEV superb!

Scott gave me the article about free parking in my town...Huntington.

I never have to pay for parking again!

It's free for the holidays, then January 2, I can go to town hall and pick up a sticker for free parking forever (since I hope to have my Prius forever)...and I get free passes to all the parks!

I parked next to another Seaside Pearl 06 this week...wished I had business cards with PriusChat.com on them....I don't know how to create them with the logo we have...would be good, though, since I am seeing more Prii every day.

Great minds... I'm actually in the process of printing up cards that can be placed on the windsheild of any Prius that members of LIPOG run across informing them of PriusChat and our local club.

I'll have them for the next meet. Sy is also picking up the t-shirts for those that didn't get them last time. (I'll make sure I hang on to 1 for you!)

I want to thank everyone who stopped to listen to my brake noise, too.

It does sound mechanical...and as if it's coming from the left side...hasn't done it much lately.

That's such a wonderful thing about our group...not only great people, but so much information shared!

Just added some pages with photos and diagrams of mrbigh (Horacio) Dual-Power PHEV Conversion. Text describing the process will be added as they are available.

    Emile,
On page http://mysite.verizon.net/vzep1vkh/lipog/id18.html, the picture under text "Toyota Prius Electric Drive", that's not the Gen 2 Prius, that's the classic, which doesn't match this, since Horacio did the PHEV conversion to a Gen 2 Prius.

On the side, is that the longest run on sentence ever? :p

Thanks for catching that. I got rid of that picture and will try to find one that represents the Gen2, that will then match Horacio's conversion, and hope to have additional information as to the descriptions of the diagrams - H doesn't have them written up as yet, but hopes to get to it soon - and then post that to the side of each of the diagrams, but I was also thinking of posting a powerpoint presentation that would have it (the charging, driving, and regen cycles) animated, but that will probably have to wait until after the holidays.

I think I beat you!

The website looks GREAT Emile!! And yes, I think it's also a wonderful idea to have cards madeup. Would we all chip in for the cost? I find myself wanting to wave at every prius owner I pass on the road and give them the thumbs up. :p I absolutely love my prius and am looking forward to Januarys meet.

I seem to have one small problem.. It seems there is a ticking sound coming from one of the passenger side doors that is absolutely driving me CRAZY. I'm hoping that at the next meet someone will take a short drive with me to see if we can figure out exactly where its coming from so it can be corrected. Sounds almost as if there is either a small pebble somewhere in one of the doors or a loose wire thats jumping around and hitting the body of the car. I want to call the dealer but am afraid I'll just get fluffed off.

Terri, I got my Razr and am having fun with it in the car. What a fantastic feature. Bet you can't guess what color I got???

    See you all soon..

Sure we'll take a look. Taking the door panel off takes about 1 minute. It could very well be something that is rattling around that is easily corrected.

BTW, we are working on a few things to further advance recognition of the group. We'll fill everyone in at the next meet.
    See you there!
