Can someone suggest or point me to other discussions about the likely cause.

All the warning lights turn on. I drive for a while. Then they turn off. I drive for a while, and the cycle repeats.

The TPMS sensor alarm was already on and headlight high beams were also already on in the picture)

Note, the 12v accessory battery is bad and needs to be replaced. May be related, but probably not while the inverter is on.

Replace the 12v battery. Charge it for 4-8 hours so it have a full charge on it.
The dealerships and auto parts stores do not keep the batteries charged up.

A bad 12v battery caused all kinds of errors as the inverter tries to charge the 12v battery.

Read the trouble codes with a Prius capable scanner when the warning lights are on. Then you will know what the problem is that the car is trying to tell you about.

Did this at an auto store. No error codes in code history at all.

Read the codes while the warning lights are on. If you do not have a scan tool handy then, read the codes this way:

Blink (a/k/a Flash) Codes – How to. | PriusChat

That also works for those times when the only scan tool you have access to is one that tells you there aren't any codes.

This method will not show codes that are only in history (need a working scan tool for that), but only codes that are current.

Of course. Ordered one Walmart delivered same day but with the new stupid problem of Battery terminals wrong size (no screw terminals, etc. either). Anyway. I found that the battery in there was 10.5 years old! I will get a new one at Costco and report back.

Which Walmart battery did you order? Walmart does have one with the correct terminals for a Gen 3. Did you order the wrong one?
