I am selling the OEM tires with less than 50 miles on them from my 2024 LE AWD (swapped them with CrossClimate 2 for better snow traction). The tires are Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus 195/60 R17. I live in Redmond, WA. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

How you 'do like the CrossClimate 2? I have an appointment tomorrow to return the Pirellis I bought last week because of the noise they make. Is the CrossClimate 2 a quiet tire?

How are the ecopias on the prime too? I have them but am not swapping them on for another 2 weeks. We tend to get one last blast of snow in early april and this week if the low front sticks around its a blizzard.

Just curious what I'm to expect since I only drove as far as the tire shop when I first got the car with the ecopias.

If you lived in WI and they were cheap I would buy a set as an experiment on my volt (barely smaller diameter)

    ah well

The sound deadening on the Prius is not great to begin with, but the CrossClimate 2 is definitely less noisy than the Ecopia.

I am coming from a GR 86 and prioritize handling over power / acceleration. To me, the Ecopia made the Prius feel like a regular Camry. The 215 / 55 R17 Cross Climate 2 even on the stock 17 inch wheels feels a lot more planted, definitely more like a GR86 than a Camry now.

Interesting, good to know. I don't think I'm going to spring for new tires this season and probably will hope they have stock sized tires for something from Michelin later. On the plus side I think the Prime has a bit more sound deadening than the non-prime, so hopefully the noise isn't too bad. Quick google found one website where people test the sound levels and the prime is 5db lower than the regular prius XLE for gen 5. I still think I'm gonna put a little more dynamat in the hatch on the wheel wells this summer. Can't hurt!

Check your front door windows. It's possible they are laminated glass and not just tempered. The Limited has them on the HEV, but Toyota may have put them on all Primes and not just the XSE+. If so, that's probably the reason for the lower noise.

No, laminated front door windows are only on the limited for the prime as well.

When I was installing my dashcam wiring I noticed that there was a fairly thick underlay under the carpet. Not sure how thick it is in the HEV model. The wheel liners are also the kinds that seem like they are almost felted, which I know is used for some amount of sound isolation.

I only really notice road noise when I'm going freeway speeds. Anything below 90km on EV, the only road noise is that transmitted by the winter tires on dry roads. Newer paved/smoother roads are very quiet. And I don't hear much engine noise when the engine kicks on. I haven't driven an HEV gen 5 so I can't do a direct comparison.

The brand new ones are like $183.99 + tax on Tirerack. So, maybe $250 for the entire set if you can arrange for shipping? I would like to get them out of my living room asap:).
