help? DTC C1256 Code

    SFO, on your writeup it references "connect the hand held tester to the DLC3". Does this mean connect Techstream to the OBD connector? In my Techstream (v18.0) there is no "Data List". There is a "Open Scan Data File". Is this what should be selected? Thank you

    "Connecting a scantool" involves two parts. First is physically plugging the (VCI) interface cable into the laptop and the car's OBD connector. Second is going through the options and steps of the Techstream software so that the program can communicate with the car's electronic modules.

    I suggest looking on youtube for Techstream tutorials as your description sounds like you haven't gotten through the second part.
