I bought my car used and the MPG was around 43 when I got it. I have noticed since I changed my spark plugs and also drive fuel-consciously that my MPG is going up but I never expected to see it this high. I'm guessing it's inaccurate or is 50+ normal for 2016?

Our 3rd Gen (model year 2010~2015) dashboard-displayed mpg has proven to be approximately 7% optimistic, compared to calculated. I’ve read here that 4th Gen (model year 2016~2022) is similar. FWIW 5th Gen (model year 2023+) is reported here to have fairly honest dashboard-displayed mpg.

On my ‘22 typical warm weather mpg hovers in the low 60’s with cold weather hovering around 55. Both indicated (I have more interesting things to do than make spreadsheets to determine the “exact” mpg which is nearly impossible to do anyway).
