Hi! I'm trying to install an anti-theft kill switch by adding a switch to the wire that connects to the fuel pump relay, a procedure I have done before on my older '04 Honda Civic. (With the kill switch off, the car won't start as the fuel pump won't work)

    1. Does this procedure still work for a hybrid car like the 3rd gen Prius?
    2. I can't seem to find the fuel pump relay in a 3rd gen Prius online. Which relay/fuse do I use to create such a kill switch?
    3. What other theft prevention DIYs do you suggest? :)

    Thanks! Sam D.

There will be enough ev power to drive it on a trailer.

IMG_2053.jpeg The catalytic converter is what they want. They will leave the rest of the car.

I'm trying to determine my 2011 prius fuel pump relay(if there is a specific one) I have a no start problem for my engine. I thought replacing the fuel pump module would fix this, but so far has not. I've studied the fuse box diagrams, related them to my under hood fuse box lid diagram, and do not see a specific relay dedicated to the fuel pump. My only clue is maybe the one labeled IGCT, but this is only my opinion based on description of how that is related to power management control

The alert reader will notice that both of the relays shown in that diagram are within the same gray-shaded thing as the EFI MAIN fuse. That'd be the four-fuse-slot integration-relay thing toward the outboard side of the underhood fusebox. 1B is the middle one of the three connectors plugging into the bottom of it.

Thanks Chapman! I also was able to get a confirmation on the same from a Toyota parts supplier that had an "ask a question" option. I really appreciate your technical knowledge evident in the details you provide!
