Yesterday my 2009 wouldn't start. Today it did so I took it for a drive and only got about quarter mile through the complex here had to push it home. Is there a wiring problem or the battery dying?

Are there any red or yellow lights illuminated on the dash, or messages on a screen?

If so, what lights, and what messages?

If there are any lights, the next question will be, what trouble codes?

Then we'll be able to think about what might be going on with the car.

start with the 12v battery. you can go to a local auto parts place to have it load tested. Car wont start without a good 12v battery.

It’s possible the engine won’t start but you were able to drive 1/4 mile in ev mode especially if you power cycled the 12v battery.

Any chance you ran out of gas? The gen2s have a flakey gas gauge.
