    I was buzzing down the second steepest hill in town when I saw a Prius v followed by a regular Prius liftback buzzing up the hill the opposite way. Just neat to see all 3 models together in the same 2 seconds.

    I couldn't tell you which model, but I saw a Grumman twin-engined flying boat going past me in S.E. Pennsylvania the other day. It was headed northeast.

    The next town over does a nice airshow in early june, but this wasn't that.

    Hyundai SUV, the big one. Palisade? Current generation, was clean enough to be a '24.

    Anyway, it had a very ornate purple and white tiger's face airbrushed on the hood. Oversized, with the mane sort of rolling down on the front fenders.

    I don't often run into that level of commitment in airbrush art, especially on newer models. I was impressed.

    On that long haul through Kansas Interstate 70, saw a 1972 Nova totally cherried out on a trailer.

    I managed to spot two new Buick Envistas in the same day.

    Wow.

    It's just a viscerally ugly machine, at least from behind. Front aspect not too bad; the kindest thing I can write is that you'd never notice it mixed in with Ford or Kia crossovers.

    Tough to believe I'm typing this, but the wildest car I saw all weekend was a 2nd generation Mitsubishi Montero in showroom condition.

    Barn find? Restored? Somehow that seems even less likely.

    Scratching my head on that one.

    Saw two JDM Honda Fits recently. Had to do a double take cause they obviously look almost identical to the ones we got except a slimmer rear bumpers (we're just about entering the era where Canada/US dropped the 5mph bumper so imported cars still had the slimmer bumpers compared to ours). Another 2006-2008 RL.

    Saw a brand new 2024 Mirage G4 with new WA plates. (no longer sold in Canada. We only have the Mirage hatchback now)

    Nice find! All of those up here are from Quebec unless they were imported or the owner moved out of Quebec as they were only sold new in that province.

    Well I got stuck at an intersection just as police were closing it today. They needed to move a convoy of unlicensed vehicles through.

    The convoy was all military vehicles. Antique ones, rehearsing for a big militaria show weekend. I couldn't identify all that went past, but there were plenty of the old willys jeeps including one hauling an aviation bomb on a trailer, a dodge half-track, some kind of 8-wheeled personnel hauler, a bunch of scout motorcycles with sidecars, a Kubelwagen, and some various ambulances and utility machines.

    Every seat occupied by re-enactors in period costumes. Looks like they're going all-out this year.
