Hello, I am new to this forum, but have been in a dilemma for a few weeks now and can’t figure out the solution. I have a 2013 Prius C with 130,000 miles that was having hybrid battery issues to a point where it wouldn’t start anymore. I ended up replacing the hybrid battery with a “refurbished” one and now I am getting codes: P0A80,0A9E, P0AC2,P0AC8. I can’t exactly pinpoint what is wrong, nor what exactly to troubleshoot or test. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to get my daily driver working again!!

    Toyota service information link

That post will give more info on what kind of help Toyota makes available. Within it, you'll find links to their online tech library. From there, you can subscribe to a copy of the factory repair manual. They have a two-day pass that works well for us DIYers.

It sounds like the scanner you have is at least partially useful- is it giving you the INF sub-codes to go with those trouble codes?

Between full-access diagnostic codes and the real-deal repair manual, you should do okay.

All the trouble codes you list pertain to the hybrid vehicle battery. I hope that you have a warranty. Contact the seller of the HV battery to get a replacement.

UPDATE: I now found out that the codes that I was getting are in active. The only code I have that is active is P3004 and I am not sure how to troubleshoot it. I just replace the hybrid battery and the 12 V battery. Could this be a bad inverter?

Yes, take a look at this thread: https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3290690
The Autel AP200 is a good choice. It is about $60 on Amazon.

^ that. I understand Dr. Prius is extremely specific to hybrid battery monitoring, where the Autel (and some other tools) are better set up for whole-car diagnostics.

I have the Autel AP2500E, which is similar to the AP200 but not identical. It was a big help on a recent problem.

There are a lot of different autel machines. @mr_guy_mann is probably the right priuschat person to answer more about the autel AP200 will or wouldn't show. Or read more of the posts in the link @Brian1954 posted above. If it does show INFs at that price it's a steel, IMO. I have my doubts, but hey, ya never know !
Also a good idea to get the $20 2day subscription to the repair manual, where you can read about your current DTC - and more about its INFs and where each leads though the cars other components / systems.

Got the Autel AP200 and it’s awesome! Especially for 60$.. it’s P3004 detail code 800.

I got the subscription to the manual, I started testing it and it was leaning towards bad inverter… I ended up finding someone parting out the same car that was in an accident and got a inverter with 40,000 miles on it for only 100 bucks! I picked it up and put it in the car and it is finally working again!! From what I’ve read I believe that inverter went bad and discharge my battery to where it completely killed it but when I replace the battery that was only half the problem. Now with the “New” inverter. It is running back how it used to! Thank you all for your help and advice, I was so close to giving up on the car before I joined this site!

I’m not exactly sure what triggered the code, when I read the freeze-frame data I’m not sure what necessarily caused it to trigger. One of the cells voltage was a little lower than all the others. I don’t know a lot about hybrid battery but after the pack is reinstalled in the car, does it take a few charges and discharges for the battery to equalize all the cells? After I cleared the code, it hasn’t popped up again and it’s been about 50 miles the first time it popped up was only 20 miles after the replacement.

i'm not sure either, but you might have to balance the modules out of the car, or with a grid charger.
