Due to the sun in Florida, a cracked or dried out dash is a common occurrence. Since the dash on the gen 5 is a mile long, I'm worried about the long term effects of the sun. There's also like 3 different kinds of surfaces from plastic to faux leather used on the dash. I do use a sunshade on days I go to work (3 days per week), but not at home because my spouse doesn't want to deal with folding it up.

I haven't used any kind of dash/interior care products since I had my 5 speed Saturn in the late 90's. ArmorAll was pretty much the default option then. Does anyone have a suggestion for dash care products that would be effective in the Florida sun and not discolor or mess up the different surfaces? Do I need to use different products on the different materials?

    Thanks!

Plant a shade tree next to the driveway?

Aerospace 303 works pretty well these days. Not as slippery as A-A, which is probably for the best.

I don't have the same model you do, but Toyota generally works to make their interior materials compatible with common cleaners. I'd be pretty surprised if they goofed on the new one.

Cloth dash cover might be best way here.

Had one on my old car and it reduced glare a TON which is mostly why I got it. I know it seems silly to cover the dash with something to protect it when if it's covered all the time what's the point of it being protected. But it is what it is. I'm sure I'll buy one for this car as well when they start getting sold.
