Thank you foer both those links! I chimed in on that thread, since they had concluded that it wasn't possible to buy the hardware separately.

I don't know, since there's no picture, but I only need one side so I'll be fine either way. My spidey sense tells me there will be two.

At the three or four dollars I would expect to get one piece in the United States from Toyota motor sales USA at least that's what I would expect but you only need one side like you say so it won't matter

This is how I fixed it: bought the Cargo Net Hardware Kit, Part Number: PT347-47040-HK, for $3.78 from my local Toyota dealership.

Below you can see the broken one on on the left and the new one on the right.

There were five petals that broke off, which is why it wouldn't stay in the wall. The new one has only three petals, which will spread out when you press down on the little hat, so insert it in the wall before you press down on that hat.

Thanks to Tombukt2 and others who helped me figure this out!

Yes and if you look in your Toyota Amazon purchase hardware clip assortment kit you will see a lot of these five pedal clips they do all kinds of holding on things in Toyota Corolla Prius Auris etc . But at the three bucks yeah you can't go wrong here and that was for the two pieces or is that three whatever per d ring five petal assembly? Either way three bucks a pop is nothing to that now you have another 16 years so there you go Don't load them up and everything should be jiggy for longer than you'll ever have the car more than likely

This style of hooks for drywall would likely work too:

You'd probably need to hacksaw off a fair bit of the threaded portion (to avoid bumping into car body behind the hole in panel. Be careful to not cut off so much you can't get the spring jaws through the hole. You might want to spray-paint or plasti-dip the hook and washer flat-black for looks.

It's readily available at hardware stores.

Two pieces for $3.78, so I've got one if the other side breaks.

Yes, as car repairs go, $3.78 has to be one of the cheapest ever!
