Is there a data summary screen that shows how many total miles my 2024 Prime has driven with the gas engine running? We have 1800 miles on it since new and am curious how much of that is actually with the engine running.

    Ah, WIBNI..
Your best estimate now, (having failed to meticulously record your charging and fill-ups), will be to search your credit card statements for fill ups. Total dollars/ approx average price per gallon * 43 mpg = approx miles in HV

    My stats:
    - 66% of 7318 miles have been EV mode
    - ave high speed mpg is 43, average overall mpg is 46

Past models had a %EV measurement.
It includes the times the engine was off in HV mode with the EV mode miles, so doesn't work for the point of finding out how many miles was done in EV mode.

The only readout I an aware of is after each trip, it will tell you what your overall MPG was and what percentage of the trip was in EV mode.

Didn't want to have to record every trip summary or research receipts to determine it, mostly just curious if there was an easy way. When we go in for the first service I will ask the mechanics if they have a way of figuring it out with diagnostics.

Yea, this is a pain. For me it was wanting to ensure I had done a decent jib of breaking in the engine before a multi-thousand mile road trip. My variation on the above suggestions was to ensure that I had two gas tank fill-ups before my toad trip.

I still log gallons each fill-up, more as a hold over from my Gen1 to verify MPGs even though it makes little sense with the PHEV.

If your driving style and trips are very consistent, just log a few weeks of your EV% and you'll have a very good general idea. If you like to park for hours with your car on, you're out of luck.

Check out section 3 pg 165 of the manual for the Elapsed Time after Starting/ EV Driving Ratio.
The manual only lists one screen on a per trip basis, but if you're lucky you might be able to see separate screen of the Elapsed Time / EV Ration screen for each of the Odometer and Trip gauges too.

It might be one of those hidden gems no bodies tried yet or it's also possible someone will post that they've already looked and the Gen 5 only gives the default Elapsed Time / EV Ratio screen on the per trip basis.

I've got pics of how it works in Gen 4 but Gen 5 is so much different I fear they would only lead to more confusion rather than being helpful.

Why overthink this? If u charge every night and it goes 40mi/ charge do the math and check you calendar

The problem is that not everyone drives conservatively and over what terrain and what circumstances. Some people get more than 40 miles per charge other less, especially if they do more than 40% highway driving in EV mode.
If the goal is to gauge ICE usage, I go by gas tank fill-ups. Mine is pretty easy since i fill once a month. Sometimes twice during summer road trips, but around 15 gas receipts a year. Gallons used times 50 mpg easy-peasy. The MSRP sticker states that I should be getting 53 mpg in ICE only operations, so built in margin of safety. The rest on the odometer is EV mileage, but the key is to know your driving style and averages. My odometer mpg average is around 110 mpg, so you know I'm doing mostly short hop EV only operations on my gen4.

    Hope this helps...

Based on these calculations I figured that I do about 7500 actual ICE miles a year, so I just do annual oil changes. Odometer is registering around 12K-15K miles a year, but I'm comfortable with that. I do the 5K tire rotations and checks as scheduled, since those other items are wearing as scheduled.

My guess o meter tells me I get 745km on a fill up. So I look at how many gas tanks I've used (1 and a quarter), and apply that to the KMs from the meter to get an estimate. Good enough for me :p

The app here in Europe logs and shows that data for each trip, though you can only see it as aggregate on a month-by-month basis. I'm not sure if the app is the same in other markets but you might check it out!

I don't think I am overthinking this, was just curious if there is a menu setting somewhere that has this info. Of course I can get a reasonable estimate using 50MPG and how many gallons we put in ( so far approx 10 gallons since 4/10/24). It's just unusual after 50 ys of driving experience to not have an odometer for the gas engine, or a tachometer for that matter. And no way will my wife allow a dongle, OBD, or another app to track any data, she won't even let me look at the vehicle energy flow screen while I am with her in the car.

    LoL; Happy wife, happy life......

I believe your 2024 Prime XSE does 48 mpg combined, so a better factor to multiply by is 46 or 45 - again depending on your driving style and roads your on.
I believe one of your menus will display percentage of ICE or EV usage. You can do some simple math to get a ballpark number.

    Hope this helps...

All good, thanks. Ballpark numbers close enough and will just follow the maintenance schedule based on total miles driven anyway.
