have a 2006 Prius with OEM hybrid battery and AC replaced in 2016> very few miles on the car since then.
It now needs a 12 v battery- old Toyota battery 2020 or 21 probably still under some warranty that includes towing, Car passed Texas state inspection last year but is currently not insured>
Problem is I can get car towed to dealer to replace 12 v but then how to sell since its not insured to drive now.?
Is the 12 v easy to replace by someone with mechanical knowledge?

Has maybe 155,000 miles.. Not sure what to ask for it. Good Michelin tires

Yes 12v battery is easy to replace, especially if you have mechanical knowledge.

As for insurance, I do not know.
You driving may be the concern for the post.
Test drives for a potential buyer could also be a concern.
Yet, it may be that a buyer has their current insurance automatically extended to a new/ used car purchase.
(Putting the time of day on the Bill of Sale - just a thought)

As for price, others may comment.
You could research NADA & Blue Books etc.
155K miles and no/ little use since 2016 are not the best selling points.
Some may debate your 2016 Michilins have "aged out" and may ask for further discounts.

    Good luck.

Lots of things to consider here the 12 volt is but easy to change I'll take but a few minutes Don't let it die you may not get into the car without causing damage so there's always that this is not an easy car to use a slim Jim or any of that kind of stuff to open the door hopefully your doors are worn out on the driver door and that's enough slop in there where you can get the stupid little pump up airbag things in and all that and boy you'll need to pump the h a l e out of them too I used the compressor to do it needed so much air almost blew the bags up to get the space I needed quite not the thing out in the middle of nowhere was quite interesting. Prices are all over the place consider before the pandemic I used to buy these cars and most of my used cars for five and $600 or they were left at my place by people heading off to buy a new car whatever That's how I got some of my best vehicles. You're in San Antonio Texas for God's sake You should have plenty of places where customers can test drive the car without real big fear of being mowed down run over etc It is Texas after all everything in Texas is huge neighborhoods country roads all of it so I think we're getting way ahead of ourselves here with the morons buying cars today you'll have people willing to come by and purchase it almost sight unseen for whatever they're going to do with it I don't really care if they get near my price whoop off it goes so it just depends on what you want to do Why would you be getting rid of an '06 Prius to be honest about it at 155K when it'll go to 600 pretty easily at that so there's always that oh you're getting a Lucid air oh well I understand. But personally I would keep my gas hybrid HEV car sitting around for a little bit even with that nice lucid air in the driveway just because when something happens to that bad boy and it's going to cost a pile of money to fix after you spent $100,000 on the vehicle you either have it or you're in litigation or you're doing whatever that little Prius will carry you right on through while you're in your throes of nonsense with the fancy thing and with some of the problems people have had yeah I don't think I'd give up my hev

Your 4 year-old battery warranty includes towing? That's... dubious.

As for your insurance concerns, just don't let potential buyers crash the car on test drives. This is not legal advice.
