    Electric vehicle startup Fisker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection late on June 17 after months of quality issues with its Ocean crossover, a failed attempt to partner with a major automaker and hundreds of millions . . .​

    I first saw a Fisker at the 2010 Detroit Autoshow and even then, I knew he was more 'style' than 'facts and data.' I went to Fisker booth which had one car, beautiful women, and a stage. It was in stark contrast to Toyota who had one lady wearing sensible shoes and answered my technical questions. This was back when the "Bell the Hybrid" nonsense was going on.

    Knowing Fisker claimed to have a pedestrian warning, I asked the young, under dressed woman, "Could I hear the alert?" With a quiscal look, she said in her French-Canadian, "Oh, the synthetic whore!"

    Now I was confused until a slightly older woman, similarly dressed, came by and said, "The synthetic roar sounds like a powerful V8. Sorry, this demo car is not designed to show that off."

    Fisker designed his car and contracted with a 'build a car' factory in Europe. It was one of the first EVs that ran commercials for a car not in production. So I'm not surprised. Sandy Munro said one the fatal signatures of a failing startup is excessive CEO pay before production starts. Fisker met that criteria.

    ... doomed to fail, exactly same inherent issue, with Saturn's Sky, Pontiac's Solstice. Don't say it, with a lisp:

    "... oh, Bruthie! After our morning thower, let's go buy a brand new Fifth-Gurrr!"

    Not just that they look gay? Not only that, they are gay? Whensoever pronounced, with a lisp, one of the inherent problems looming with EVs, they even sound gay!

    Things are so bad, at Ford Motor Company? The Maukkee (e.g., Mach E) sounds gay, even without a lisp! --
