    Sup Gents,

I just picked up a 2011 Prius about a month ago and i about 20% left on my rear brakes the previous owner gave me a box of new brake pads and rotors for the front and rear. The brand is Powerstop, never heard of them before and went on YouTube for reviews, but the reviews I've seen seem biased. i could tell the previous owner bought them from amazon because of the labeling and amazon are known or counterfeit parts. I don't know whether use these parts or not. i bought some akebon rear brakes already and was planing to just change the pads and use the original rotors, but now i'm thinking to return my brakes and use the Powerstop ones. Does anyone have experience with this company? thanks for your inputs!

I know the brand don't know the model I have power stop cross drilled slotted dimpled racing looking things I bought my power stops with the black coating on them obviously the black coating wears off of the stopping surface but 3 years in the black coating is still on the rest of the rotor and on my generation 3 they look really nice and they work very well they're just round and steel and silver and the pads grab onto them and stop the car pretty simple stuff not a whole lot goes on making rotors but some people take this stuff to the nth degree. I did not use power stop pads that came with the rotors I use the burgundy label raybestos I can't think of the name of them right now but they're selling all over the place they're quite decent pads not the best on the planet and by far not the worst right in the middle of the road You know it's the $34 set of pads or something like that on the rears of the generation 3 since they're also disc they got the same pads or type as the front and the same rotors so all four rotors look the same through the wheels You can see the holes dimples and slots which are completely unnecessary on a Prius they just cost the same amount as some uncoated stock replacements from raybestos Wagner and others as you see now most rotors are made in like Pakistan India and what have you pretty much no matter who makes them so there's always that I don't worry about the akebono or zebrkenko brands. That's completely unnecessary All made in Asia stuff no need to worry about the branding necessarily You just want them to be flat stored properly and in somebody's auto parts network with some support which is getting harder to find these days
