Afghanistan II in Ukraine

The Russians, the former Soviet Union, went into Afghanistan:

During the war, about 15,000 Soviet soldiers had been killed and about 35,000 wounded. About two million Afghan civilians had been killed. The mujahideen were supported by many countries such as Pakistan, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.​

Russian casualties in Ukraine are credibly reported to be ~500,000. Putin will fight until the last ship, tank, plane, and Ivan. He demonstrates how Putin-like dictators make such disastrous decisions for their countries and sheeple.

The former Soviet Union had for better or worse, a Politburo, a kind of semi-independent cabinet. Putin has no such cabinet that we know of and/or the dissenters keep fallout out of windows. In Trump's case, he just fires them but lately threatens executions . . . honest to God killings.

A funny thing happens when threatened with death . . . might as well die fighting (i.e., Israel.)
