In Huntsville, the AC is off. Just using fans and opened access to attic.

    Whaaaaat?
You mean weather doesn't stay the same?? ;)

I was south of the front, and it was 96-degrees when I left the office yesterday - but it was a drier heat.
I decided to forego lawn maintenance and go to bed early.

The climate industrial complex will have to compete with the primal screams from their TDS competitors for at least the rest of this week - so BOTH forms of relief are welcome! :)

Glad to hear it Bob, we’ve had an exceptionally pleasant summer so far, with just the right amount of rain

This graphic extends until 2021, but I'd be surprised if new records have been set more recently

But it may not be wise to declare 'no problem' because there were worse problems 90 years ago. Things are different now.
Fossil fuel industry controls public sentiment on carbon&climate to a remarkable degree. Their acolytes can be found even in this temple.

The last Oklahoma dust storm was 1959-1960. Marines from Okinawa to DC. DC when Holly "caught me". She always loved the heat and I always dreamed of cold. Dashed, I became a widower after 43 years with her.

No more so than "science and data" - ALSO corrupted by the same thing.

This is why I refer to them collectively as the 'Climate Industrial Complex."

Talent goes where the money is.
