I own a Prius 3rd Gen from 2009 with Intelligent Parking Assist. I recently purchased this Android Head Unit (Octa-core 32GB ROM / 2GB RAM with Android 6.0). I now want to connect the OEM camera to this unit.

I understand that my OEM rear camera does not connect to the radio. It connects to the self parking ECU behind the glove box. When I shift into reverse, the head unit receives the reverse signal (+12V pink wire L42 plug) and converts it into canbus then goes to the self parking ECU and triggers the reverse camera. Camera power is also from the self parking ECU not the head unit. The reverse image (analog NTSC signal) goes from the rear camera to the self parking ECU. The ECU converts the analog NTSC signal into digital signal and routes to the head unit with self parking overlay through the GVIF cable (L105 plug).

My head unit has a female RCA cable to provide its video signal, and also a reverse wire in. See the diagram below.

How can I connect my OEM camera? Do I need some sort of GVIF to RCA converter? I thought I could splice some wires and use a 12v to 6V converter to get my video signal to my Aftermarket head unit, I just figured out my Prius has IPA so this changes the situation.

This is how my current OEM nav systems looks like.

    Any suggestions?

Today I removed the glove box and took a picture. Someone who can point out the self parking ECU?

Did some trial and error and found the self parking ECU. Also found the video signal cable. If I disconnect this cable there is no more video image displayed. See picture below.

Anyone who knows what kind of plug that video cable is? Can't find a RCA adapter on aliexpress/google.

edit: found out that is the GVIF cable to OEM head unit. So the RCA video feed will come from one of the wires in the plugs above the GVIF cable.

I am also curious to know how this would work. This is one of the things that keeps me from buying the Android head unit.
