Can anyone recommend a scan tool they like using?

I'm replacing the brake booster and actuator on my 3rd gen Prius. I watched some How-to videos and its one of the tools i will need to do the job, if anyone knows a good one for a decent price it would be greatly appreciated.

I used a vci cable with techstream software included that I purchased on amazon to complete the same repair. I was having disconnection issues but had read somewhere that another person was having disconnection error messages as well but continued to restart the air bleed procedure until it finally completed through.

I ended up doing the same thing and re-started the program about 8 times quickly and consecutively until I managed to complete the whole process including the linear offset calibration. Not bad for $30. I have also been using the software for various other troubleshooting jobs on my priuses without any issues. It only has a problem with the air bleed procedure for some reason.
