Could I hook up a dc to dc charger from the large hybrid battery to charge a 12 volt lithium battery ? I have the 2015 Prius C model vehicle and I would like to be able to charge a lithium battery between 20-60 amps for a fast charge instead of using the 12 volt system.

It's theoretically possible. The c battery has a 144 volt nameplate; it can obviously go higher or lower during its own charge and discharge operations.

If your charger could accept 120-160VDC on its input, you'd be on the right track.

I just found this: 121475001037 on ebay, it's listed as DC Converter Volt Reducer 144V to 12 volt 60 Amp 720W Electronic car 144volt. Input voltage range: Along with this: 120V to 170V.ECO-WORTHY 12V 40A DC to DC Charger with MPPT On-Board Battery Charger LiFePO

That looks like it will do what you want.

If I were you I would throw away the fuse that comes with it and buy a good one locally. eBay and Amazon are well-known to have lots of counterfeit fuses, major fire risk, avoid. Figure out what size fits and buy local.

Good luck & let us know!
