Hi so have a miller cat shield. Looked underneath cause was getting a p0137 code so I try to take it off and the screws are literally screwed. Best way to take these out and replace them? Only 3 actually connect to the frame of the car

Well they make speedy outs they make reverse twist drills also so instead of righty tighty they turn lefty loosey so when they catch a lot of times they'll just spin the threaded shaft out as they bite into the meat of the head of the vault carbide bits will be needed here if those are truly stainless steel bolts but they'll be low grades stainless generally with these kinds of things I doubt you'll grab onto the heads of those with anything reasonable than Erwin has some sockets that you would literally beat on the heads of these damaged bolts lefty loosey right on out get them out of the bit socket and do the next one.

It would take 3 minutes to grind the heads off. Drop the plate and there will be ~1/4 inch of fastener sticking out that you can grab with pliers and unscrew the remaining portion.

sorry how would I drop the plate. So those 3 bolts are connected to the frame of the car. Do you mean like loosen the other screws?

When the head is ground off the bolt is no longer going to hold anything.

I'm not sure that the cat shield is a quarter inch plate but it'll be 3/16 or something grind off the heads yes and then your dikes or your fingers may remove what sticking out the 3/16 to the quarter inch usually a lot of people have those silly Erwin sockets You just smack them on there twist it off one turn then it'll come by hand and do the other two or three and you're done no grinding no nothing but if you have nothing but the grinder then it won't take seconds to knock all three of the heads off those bolts in the plate will hit you in the head if you're not careful because there's no bolt heads plates falling off
