After heavy rain from Beryl, I spotted few issues:
    -air conditioner controls:
-- outside temp sensor got stuck at 23C, however after 3 days under sun looks like it's back to normal, last display was 96F
    -MFD
--APPS does not work "system not installed"
    -- there is no NAV
--SETUP, car setup options are limited
--SOURCE, PHONE, BLUETOOTH does not work
I understand that some EXT_BOX died. What do I do?
I tried to run MFD diagnostics, in SYSTEM CHECK MODE, EXT_BOX is OK, however if I press Recheck after about 10-15 secs returned value is EXT_BOX NRES.
in System Info Values for EXT_BOX are:
    Manufacturer HARMAN/BECKER
    Version MAIN 3.2.0
    SBUS 1.6.20
Should I try to flash entune update (looks like all links are dead including Toyota service website)
Should I try to search on ebay ( found 12 - 14 Toyota CAMRY SIENNA PRIUS Bluetooth Gracenote Extension Box WITH HARNESS) - is it the one?

Depends on the model of the mfd in the right corner. Most have a 57011 which makes it common on eBay with a complete unit and ext box for less than $150. Some with the JBL system are totally different.

If the car was flooded it’s pretty risky since many connectors and ecus could be damaged or will get that way over a few months.

Entune server is no longer supported so it’s a waste of time . However maps should still work as it is not cloud based.

    THANKS!
no, no flood, car was outside in a driveway but hurricane went right above us. For some time is was almost horizontal rain due to high wind speed.
    My model 57011.
-I read other posts here, should I try to disconnect ext_box - someone said it returned bluetooth
-do I need some unlock key/passcode or talk to toyota service to pair new MFD with my car?
PS: I used my car for 5 days 24/7 as emergency generator, I took it once for gas refill but otherwise it was running 5 days non stop.

You may get a basic Bluetooth with the ext box disconnected. No codes needed.

As I understand it, the solder joints on the YY050 extension box PC boards crack under repeated heat stress and heat cycling, sometimes warping the board and the BGA mount processor, which terminates enhanced Bluetooth, maps, nav, and APPS functionality with a SYSTEM NOT INSTALLED error message or no response at all. Removing the jumper to the YY050 box restores basic Bluetooth, which resides in the 57011 head unit, but no maps, nav or APPS. Depending on what you want, either remove the jumper or find the most recent YY050 box possible. They seem to die after 10-12 years depending on duty cycle. Our 2012 just died permanently, after becoming intermittent in late 2023. A working 2014 box might have another year or two left, depending on pattern of prior use.
