    Hi everyone,

This is my first post here but I have been reading the forum for some time, I bought a cheap 2007 with a failed HV battery here in the UK. Thanks to the forum, I was able to replace the bad modules and recondition the pack. So far I've done about 750 miles it is running fine and averaging over 60mpg (imp) (about 50mpg US) .

Anyway I want to convert it to run on LPG as have all my other cars for the last 20 years. One of the first complications I have is where to get an "ignition on" signal to drive the LPG ECU.

Basically I need to find something that reads 12v + when the car is in "ready" mode and zero in all other modes. Any suggestions?

Also...My understanding is MG1 spins the engine up to its idle speed then the injectors are switched in - not sure about the ignition coils though. Does anyone know if the injectors and ignition coils switch on at the same time when the engine starts?

I would think when the coils are active the fuel pump and fuel injection should be active so that the engine can in fact start If you're missing one of those components you don't have an engine running generally speaking and with the factory repair manual wiring diagram which can be downloaded from other users here and what have you you should be able to find the wire that you can find that's got voltage when the car is ready in this case meaning it's ready to run it's on when it's time and the car computer say so the engine will start or attempt to start so that should take care of your signal that you need for the LP G ECU
